With influences as varied as Miles Davis, Pat Metheny, Jean-Luc Ponty, Vince Mendoza and composers Debussy, Bach and Zappa, was born in 2018 the Antonio Caraveo Project.
The freedom provided by improvisation was the engine for the creation of music original dressed in rhythmic colors of Latin America, which has given life to its five repertoires: Mexican Landscapes (2020), inspired by nature, peoples and legends of Mexico. Siempre Brasil (2021), inspired by the musical tradition, nature and rhythms of the country brother Brazil. Beso de Chocolate (2023) inspired by Afro-Antillean rhythms, Women (2023) dedicated to women and Blue Tea (2023) inspired by the great works of universal literature.
Antonio Caraveo, born in Mexico City, has produced, arranged and composed for more than 10 albums of various musical genres, such as Blues Fusion, Jazz, Songwriter, Mexican Music, Music for children and more. He has composed more than 200 pieces of music. He has dedicated himself for more than 25 years to teaching music.
His performances include the International Blues Festival, Quito, Ecuador, edition 10; Day of the Dead Festival, Ciudad Universitaria, UNAM; Festival Internacional La Nao 2018, Acapulco, Guerrero. Also in the Celebration of Independence of the Embassy of Brazil in Mexico, 2020 and as organizer of the 2022 Jazz Day at the Sebastián Foundation and in various venues of the CDMX, such as the Monument to the Revolution and the Simón Bolívar Amphitheater of the UNAM, among others.
